We Heart UNMC effort for student support runs Feb. 8-14

UNMC and the University of Nebraska Foundation are launching the first ever We Heart UNMC socks campaign in support of UNMC Student Scholarships.

Running Feb. 8-14, the online giving effort encourages participants to make a gift of $60 to support UNMC Student Scholarships. In return, they will receive a limited-edition pair of UNMC socks. Gifts of any amount can be made.

The socks, designed with red polka dots and the UNMC shield logo, were designed exclusively for this event.

“By championing this event in the lead up to Valentine’s Day, we’re giving people an opportunity to consider making a contribution for themselves or for a loved one in support of UNMC students and their academic success,” said Janelle Domeyer, director of annual campaigns for UNMC. “We hope this offers a fun and engaging way to help an important cause while warming both toes and hearts.”

Participants can give and follow the event’s progress at the We Heart UNMC website between Feb. 8-14.

Due to production time, the socks will be sent within 4-6 weeks.
