Brian joined the foundation in 2012. With most of his career devoted to higher education fundraising, he has broad experience and success — ranging from annual giving to principal gifts — and has held many senior leadership roles. View Brian's full bio.
Amy has been with the foundation since 1993. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in social work from Iowa State University and a Master of Arts degree from Bowling Green State University. Amy enjoys managing an amazing team devoted to UNMC, its hospital partner Nebraska Medicine and their donors. She has the opportunity to help people make their philanthropic dreams come true and gets to work with bright, talented and passionate clinicians, researchers and educators who care deeply about the health and well-being of others.
A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Troy joined the foundation in 2016. His professional experience includes executive leadership positions in healthcare, accounting and finance, human resources, information technology, strategic planning, business analytics and contract negotiations.
Lori has been with the foundation since 2002. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Lori enjoys her time at the foundation because she has the privilege of working with some of the most successful, yet humble, human beings who believe in higher education and its power to transform lives and our community.
Joe Selig is senior vice president for UNL development at the University of Nebraska Foundation. Before joining the foundation in 2003, he provided 23 years of service to the UNL athletics department. He is an alumnus of the UNL College of Business where he received bachelor’s and MBA degrees.
A Nebraska native, Clark earned a bachelor’s degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University and a master’s degree in public administration with an emphasis in nonprofit management from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He serves as the vice president of trustee and volunteer relations and has been advancing higher education through his work at the foundation since 1990. In his role, Clark focuses on volunteer identification, training and engagement while working to ensure meaningful experiences for all trustees and volunteers.
Brian is responsible for the oversight and investment the University of Nebraska Foundation’s assets. His principal duties include establishing long-term asset allocation policies and short-term tactical tilts; investment manager research and selection; portfolio compliance and oversight; and serving as principal staff liaison to the board of directors and its investment committee. He joined the foundation in 2014 and has more than 20 years of professional financial and institutional investment experience.
Dorothy has been with the foundation since 2006. She has a Bachelor of Journalism in News Editorial from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and a Master of Information Management from Emporia State University. Dorothy oversees the foundation's marketing communications department. She received scholarships while attending UNL and sees working for the foundation as a way to pay those scholarships forward.
Mike joined the foundation in 2014. Mike has a great passion for education and a strong mix of fundraising, sales and business development experience in Omaha. In addition, he has been an active volunteer in the Omaha community and understands well that UNO's greatest asset is Omaha.
Jami joined the foundation in 2020 with a myriad of experience in talent acquisition, employee development, performance management and organizational leadership. She came to the foundation from Gallup, where she held roles in talent management and most recently as director of talent acquisition. Jami is chair of the Clifton Strengths Institute advisory board in the UNL College of Business. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
Keith has been with the foundation since 1987. He has a Bachelor of Journalism in Broadcasting from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and a Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law. As general legal counsel, Keith's position at the foundation allows him to wear different hats, and he enjoys addressing the issues and identifying the solutions that help donors accomplish their goals of charitable giving.
Nick holds a bachelor’s degree in English and master’s and doctoral degrees in higher education administration. In 2018 he joined the University of Nebraska Foundation with more than 13 years of advancement experience, including fundraising, advancement services, stewardship and corporate and foundation relations. Nick is an Iowa native but has long-held ties to Nebraska and its Huskers.
Matt has been with the foundation since 2006. He has a Bachelor of Journalism in Broadcasting from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and a Master of Business Administration from DePaul University. Matt enjoys working at the foundation because the University of Nebraska has a big impact on the economic development of the state. He also feels higher education motivates people and gives them the opportunity to achieve a better life.
Dara Troutman came to the foundation in 2016 from the University of Nebraska, where she worked for nearly two decades, including 12 years as chief of staff in the Office of the President. Dara earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She believes strongly in the foundation’s mission to advance the university by building relationships, connecting donors’ visions with university goals and providing responsible stewardship of gifts.
Ben joined the foundation in 2013. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from The Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Denver. Ben enjoys working for the foundation because he believes gifts to the University of Nebraska transform lives for the better.
Amber has been with the foundation since 2000. She has a bachelor of journalism degree in advertising and a Master of Arts in journalism, both from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She leads the fundraising efforts for UNL's College of Arts and Sciences. Amber enjoys being at the foundation because she has the opportunity to work with amazing university alumni and friends, talented students, faculty and dedicated colleagues.
Lucas joined the foundation in 2002 and left to become the UNK alumni director in 2008. He returned to the foundation as campaign director and associate director of the UNK Alumni Association in 2010. Currently, he is vice president of alumni relations and development for UNK. Lucas is a Kearney native and has a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He enjoys fostering alumni and friends' connections with UNK and each other and helping donors achieve their philanthropic dreams and goals.
Sue has been with the foundation since 2007. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and sports administration from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Sue enjoys her time at the foundation because it is fun to work with people who are so generous and caring. She believes higher education definitely transforms lives and feels fortunate to be a part of that experience.
Steve has been with the foundation since 2004 and is passionate about the power of higher education to positively affect lives. He finds reward in seeing kindness come full circle, working with people who were able to go to college through the kind action of someone else, go on to lead successful lives and want to give back in return. Steve earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and a Master of Arts in English from Colorado State University.
A member of the foundation team since 2017, Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and a Master of Science from Bellevue University. As director of the grateful patient giving program, she works with individuals who wish to recognize through philanthropy the excellent care they or their loved one received at Nebraska Medicine.
Keith has been with the foundation since 2007. He enjoys working with people who have been successful and now want to help others beyond themselves. Working at the foundation has given him a connection to yet another "red" school — he has a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin, and he obtained his Juris Doctor from Cornell University.
Joanna has been with the foundation since 2005. She has a Bachelor of Journalism in advertising from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Joanna is routinely surrounded by extremely intelligent, kind and generous people who have achieved great success in their lives and finds these interactions to be a wonderful way to spend her days.
Josh has been with the foundation since 2008. He has a Bachelor of Science in secondary education from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Josh's experience at UNL was very positive, and working at the foundation allows him to help make that same experience available to other students. It also allows him to give back to his alma mater.
Amy joined the foundation in 2014. Her past experiences and skills building community relationships and partnerships with universities and other organizations across Nebraska serve her well in her role as a fundraiser.
Amy has been a fundraiser at the foundation since 2012. She has a Bachelor of Journalism in Advertising from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and is passionate about her job because she enjoys helping students achieve their dreams of attending college.
Meg has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than 25 years. With the foundation from 1997-2001, she rejoined the team in 2011 to work on behalf of UNMC. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Believing that education and philanthropy transform lives, Meg values helping donors achieve their goals and make an impact at UNMC.
Barbara joined the University of Nebraska Foundation in 2018 following a career as a newspaper reporter and editor. She worked for several papers, including the Omaha World-Herald, where she covered agribusiness, food production and the grocery business, communicating the story of Nebraska’s agriculture economy to readers. Barbara holds degrees in English and journalism.
Christine earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s College of Journalism and Mass Communications and her Juris Doctor from the Nebraska College of Law. In addition to her time with the law college, Christine has worked for UNL Housing, UNL Conference Services and Husker Athletics.
Robb joined the foundation in 2000. He graduated from Union College in Lincoln where he studied public relations and institutional advancement. He took advertising courses at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and holds a certificate in nonprofit management from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. A member of the Public Relations Society of America and past president of the International Association of Business Communicators Lincoln Chapter, he's devoted most of his career to higher education.
Ashley joined the University of Nebraska Foundation in 2017. A Nebraska native, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s College of Business in 2005 and an MBA from Bellevue University in 2019. Ashley is passionate about her work and excited to be a part of the fight against cancer in her role supporting the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.
Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications and a master of divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis. He joined the University of Nebraska Foundation in 2019 and focuses on securing support for UNL’s College of Arts and Sciences.
Tom has been with the foundation since 2002. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in communications from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He supports the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center and oncology related departments at UNMC. Tom enjoys working at the foundation because he is assisting the people at UNMC who work tirelessly to help others.
Brad serves as director of development for the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s College of Public Health and College of Pharmacy. He joined the foundation in 2017 with several years of fundraising, community development and volunteer management experience.
Camille has been with the foundation since 2016. She earned undergraduate and juris doctor degrees from the University of Kansas and has several years of fundraising, consulting and nonprofit experience. Camille is passionate about her work and believes the opportunity for an education has the ability to make a substantial impact on a person’s life.
Amy earned a Bachelor of Science degree with an organizational communication major from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Her time as a UNK student was transformational, and she believes that education can truly change lives. Amy joined the UNMC College of Medicine team at the foundation in 2018 after spending time in sales, marketing and other fundraising roles.
Todd joined the foundation in 2014. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. A native Nebraskan, he is passionate about the university and the impact it has on the lives of its students, alumni and people throughout the state.
A Nebraska native, Ronna earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from UNL’s College of Education and Human Sciences and a master’s degree in public administration from UNO. Ronna joined the foundation in 2018 with several years of fundraising and programming experience and loves working to advance the college where she got her start.
A two-time graduate of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, DeMoine holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in educational psychology. He joined the foundation in 2020 with a strong professional background in mentoring, leadership and motivational speaking. As a first-generation college student, DeMoine’s life was transformed by scholarships, so he is passionate about creating similar experiences for young people through his work as a fundraiser for the College of Business.
A two-time graduate of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications, Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising and a master’s degree in journalism. Before joining the foundation in 2019, he enjoyed work in advertising, primarily within the health care and public policy sectors. Michael’s fundraising efforts are focused on securing support for UNL’s College of Education and Human Sciences.
Prior to joining the foundation in 2020, Theresa enjoyed a successful career in corporate sales. Her background in relationship building, leadership, coaching and marketing complements her role in securing support for UNMC’s College of Dentistry.
Originally from Indiana, Will holds a bachelor’s degree in English education from Indiana University and a Juris Doctor from Loyola University School of Law. In addition to an extensive career in commercial real estate and immigration law, his professional background includes secondary education and work for the Nebraska Association of School Boards. Will joined the foundation in 2020 and enjoys melding his longtime passion for education with fundraising for UNL’s College of Arts and Sciences.
Rosemary earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a master's degree in education, leadership and social policy from Loyola University and a Ph.D. in education administration from UNL. Rosemary is passionate about education, in particular, educational access and early childhood education.
Kathy holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University and joined the University of Nebraska Foundation team in 2015. Born and raised in Omaha, she has volunteered with TeamMates Mentoring for years and believes in the power of education in Nebraska; this passion drives her work in fundraising for the College of Engineering and the Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management.
Liz is passionate about improving our community and supporting the growth of UNMC and the Nebraska Medicine health network through strong relationships with corporations and other foundations. A Nebraska native, she joined the University of Nebraska Foundation in 2018 with development, project management and board development experience gained from a variety of local nonprofits. Liz obtained bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nonprofit administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
An Omaha native, Justin earned a juris doctor degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Law and a master’s degree from UNL’s College of Journalism and Mass Communications. He believes that college should be accessible to everyone, particularly students who are first in their family to attend college, and is passionate about the power of education. Justin joined the foundation in 2016.
Justin earned his bachelor’s degree from UNL’s College of Business. With 10 years of experience in the insurance industry and eight years as a financial advisor, Justin brings valuable experience to the development team. Justin has always been passionate about community service and giving back. He has served on a long list of boards and committees, including most recently Leadership Lincoln, the Community Services Fund of Nebraska and Lincoln’s Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. Justin believes in the power of education to transform our society and in the impact learning has on an individual. Justin is married and has three children, ages 9, 7 and 3.
Joye has been with the foundation since 2007 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She is passionate about her job because she enjoys bringing friends and alumni together to help advance the College of Arts and Sciences.
Kim has been with the foundation since 2006 and directs the gift planning department's stewardship and marketing programs. She also leads the foundation's efforts to thank planned gift donors as the primary contact for the Burnett Society.
Joey is originally from Omaha and obtained his bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Joey was a four-year member of the Husker Football program. During his student-athlete experience, he received many awards including the Tom Osborne and Brook Berringer Citizenship Award, Admiral U.S. Grant Sharp Trophy for unselfish commitment, motivation and teamwork, and the Hero Leadership Award for demonstrated excellence in community service and leadership.
A Nebraska native, Jeremy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a chemistry major from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2008. As a nontraditional student, he experienced firsthand the impact of receiving a higher education through the gift of scholarships, and he is passionate about helping others receive the same transformational opportunity. Prior to joining the foundation in 2016, Jeremy spent his career in information systems and technology.
Jaci started at the foundation in 2015. Prior to that she served as an administrator for numerous grant programs including creation of all written materials, selection process and communication with recipients. Her experience managing project budgets, metrics, tracking, invoicing, and developing final reports for assigned partners and grants are great assets in her current position.
Heather’s fundraising efforts are focused on the Lied Center for Performing Arts, the Sheldon Museum of Art and the International Quilt Museum. She has a longtime relationship with the arts in Nebraska and has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than 10 years. Heather joined the foundation in 2016 and is passionate about her work because scholarships helped her reach her own educational goals.
A Nebraska native, C.K. holds a Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She served as director of planned giving at the University of Nebraska Foundation from 2000–2003 and returned to the foundation team in 2017 with extensive experience in philanthropy, higher education and issue-based fundraising. C.K. enjoys helping donors reach their philanthropic goals through planned giving.
Connie has been with the foundation since 1983. She has enjoyed a variety of positions and currently is fundraising for the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts and the State Museum. The most rewarding part of Connie's job is establishing relationships with alumni and friends of the university and helping them make their dream of helping the university a reality.
Doug is a graduate of the University of Nebraska—Lincoln’s College of Journalism and Mass Communications. He joined the University of Nebraska Foundation in 2017 and has extensive experience in video production, advertising, sales and marketing, primarily in the field of agribusiness. Doug’s fundraising efforts are focused on the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Bill has been with the foundation since 1998. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in music education from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Bill has field experience in the insurance and investment industry and is our resident expert regarding life insurance gifts.
Cameron is a 2008 graduate of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business with a major in marketing. A member of the foundation team since 2014, he brings outstanding experience, energy and passion for the university to his work advancing the College of Architecture.
Amanda graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2008 with a Bachelor of Journalism in Advertising and Psychology. She joined the University of Nebraska Foundation team the same year. Amanda is passionate about nonprofit work and enjoys using her unique skill set to advance the mission of the University of Nebraska.
Scott joined the University of Nebraska Foundation in 2018 after 17 years of teaching and mentoring students at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology education and a master’s degree in education, both from UNK.
Rich earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a journalism major from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. A McCook native, he joined the foundation in 2016 after more than 20 years of professional experience working on UNK’s campus as a member of the athletics department and announcer for Loper games. Rich’s fundraising efforts are focused on UNK athletics and the Library, the Honors Program and the Frank House.
Kristin ’00 has more than 17 years of alumni and foundation experience at UNK. As the director of special programs, Howard leads a variety of giving programs and events for alumni, parents and students. Her previous experience includes working as annual campaign director and development director for the NU Foundation in Kearney, assistant director of the UNK Alumni Association and as a copy editor at the Kearney Hub.
Darla joined the foundation in 2015, after raising her daughter in western Nebraska. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Creighton University and a master’s degree in Organizational Development from Peru State College. Believing in the power of education and philanthropy, she enjoys connecting thoughtful friends of the university with opportunities to powerfully influence lives and communities.
Tessa has been with the foundation since 2012. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and a Master of Public Administration in nonprofit management from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She's honored to have the opportunity to build partnerships with donors that strengthen and enhance the community.
Nicole has been with the foundation since 2012. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Nicole received scholarships while attending college and appreciates the indelible impact they have on students. For her, it is incredibly meaningful and inspiring to work with donors who want to make a difference in the lives of faculty, students and the university.
David has been with the foundation since 2014. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and a Master of Arts in educational administration, both from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. David enjoys working with individuals who help to further the mission of higher education. He is passionate about higher education and its influence on the lives of students and the state of Nebraska.
Meghan joined the University of Nebraska Foundation in 2018 with a strong professional background in fundraising, consulting and nonprofit leadership. She holds a Master of Public Administration degree with a nonprofit management concentration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Meghan’s fundraising efforts are focused on the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Nebraska Medicine, and she has a passion for helping alumni and friends of the university connect their interests to fulfilling, life-changing opportunities.
Matthew joined the University of Nebraska Foundation in 2018 with a strong background in consulting and leadership and extensive knowledge of university systems. A Nebraska native, he believes in the purpose and mission of the foundation and enjoys the opportunity to make philanthropic ideas and dreams a reality for supporters of the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Nebraska Medicine.
Edwin began his fundraising career as a volunteer for UNICEF at age 10. Since then, he has enjoyed an extensive professional career in marketing, fundraising, sales and development. Edwin joined the foundation team in 2018 and is honored to be an advocate and ambassador for the patients and caregivers at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Nebraska Medicine.
Camtrice (Cam) joined the University of Nebraska Foundation team in 2018. A three-time graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha, she holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music performance and a master’s degree in public administration with a focus on nonprofit management. Camtrice is an advocate for community engagement and loves her development role because it blends two of her passions: higher education and philanthropy.
Brian is an Illinois native and Princeton University alumnus. Prior to joining the University of Nebraska Foundation team in 2017, he served as a fundraiser for leadership gifts and athletics at his alma mater. Brian began his career as a math teacher and believes that education transforms lives and communities.
Meghan launched her career as an advocate for higher education at her alma mater, the University of Maryland, College Park, and the University of Maryland Alumni Association. A New Jersey native, she moved to Nebraska to be closer to family, many of whom are UNO alumni. Meghan believes everyone should have the opportunity to earn an education, and she joined the University of Nebraska Foundation team in 2019 to help advance the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
