Maternity and Paternity Leave The foundation is proud to offer 12 weeks of fully paid maternity and paternity leave for your growing family.

Retirement Employees who elect to contribute 5.5% will receive an 10% match from the foundation based on eligibility.

Disability Insurance We provide peace of mind by covering 100% of the cost for long-term disability coverage for full-time employees. 

Basic Life and AD&D Insurance As a full-time employee, you’ll receive complimentary life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, paid 100% by the foundation.

Your well-being is our priority. At the University of Nebraska Foundation, we provide top-notch coverage to keep you and your family healthy, and we pay a generous portion of monthly health insurance premiums for you and your family. All regular employees may be eligible for medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits under the foundation’s benefits program. The employee, his/her spouse and all qualified dependents, including domestic partners, are eligible for coverage under the insurance program.

We are firm believers that productivity increases when employees have ample opportunity to unwind and enjoy time away from work, so we’ve crafted our time-off policy around that belief. We offer employees paid vacation leave on an accrual-based system. All full-time employees will accrue paid vacation leave based on the years of service.

0-2 years | 17 days/year 
3-8 years | 20 days/year
9+ years | 25 days/year

We also grant employees four paid personal days each year and up to two paid wellness days each year (with participation in the program), in addition to the observation of 12 paid holidays. Employees also receive 64 hours of health leave annually.

Our generous time-off policy makes us an employer of choice among advancement professionals looking for balance between their professional and personal lives.

As part of our partnership with a system of higher education, we encourage educational pursuits for our employees and their family members. The foundation may pay 100% tuition costs at a University of Nebraska campus for any employee (undergraduate and graduate) who is involved in continuing their education for the purpose of maintaining or improving skills related to their position.

Have a child eager to be a University of Nebraska graduate? All children of regular benefit-eligible employees may also be eligible for this educational benefit for all courses taken toward an undergraduate degree at any University of Nebraska campus, subject to certain guidelines.
