Support the Aviation Institute
The University of Nebraska at Omaha Aviation Institute was founded in 1990 with support from Omaha's civic and business leaders. The Institute is committed to providing a supportive and challenging environment for students interested in aviation and transportation.
Its dedication to excellence was recognized upon receiving the 2012 Loening Trophy for the Most Outstanding Collegiate Aviation Program in the country. The Loening Trophy was first awarded in 1929 by a committee including Charles Lindbergh, Amelia Earhart, Dr. Grover Loening, and Navy Commander John Towers.
