2 WIN grants to assist grandparents, UNL students
Women Investing in Nebraska awarded two $93,000 grants to assist a pilot program making mental health counselors more accessible at UNL residence halls and helping the Nebraska Children’s Home Society expand its support network for grandparents.
University of Nebraska Foundation celebrates $290 million in philanthropic support during fiscal year 2019
The University of Nebraska Foundation has announced that total philanthropic support, including all new gifts and commitments, surpassed $290 million in its fiscal year ending June 30, 2019. This compares to $231 million in total philanthropic support for the previous fiscal year.
Osbornes and Varners honored with highest development service award
Nancy and Tom Osborne and Paula and Woody Varner have been conferred the 2019 Harlan J. Noddle Award for Distinguished Development Service in recognition of the years they advocated for the university and their involvement with private philanthropy for the university.
Holthus and Raikeses honored with highest volunteer service award
Kelly Holthus of York and Jeff and Tricia Raikes of Seattle and Ashland, Nebraska, are 2019 recipients of the Perry W. Branch Award for Distinguished Volunteer Service.
