Event Brings Burnett Society Members Together and to Campus

After a three-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the University of Nebraska Foundation’s annual Burnett Society Luncheon was held in person this spring at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in Howard L. Hawks Hall. More than 80 guests were treated to lunch and remarks from University of Nebraska System President Ted Carter, University of Nebraska at Omaha Chancellor Joanne Li, Ph.D., CFA, and UNL College of Business Dean Kathy Farrell, Ph.D. Additionally, University of Nebraska Medical Center Chancellor Jeffrey Gold, M.D., provided a video message. The event closed with a short video featuring University of Nebraska at Kearney student and scholarship recipient Jade Vak, who plans to pursue a career in health care in rural Nebraska. Following the luncheon, guests took a behind-the-scenes tour of Hawks Hall, where the UNL College of Business is located. Next year’s Burnett Society Luncheon will take place at a location to be determined in Omaha.
