The University of Nebraska at Kearney family will join together for the second annual One Day for UNK on Oct. 6-7 with early giving available now.

During this Loper Giving Day, collective giving will provide critical funds to empower students and champion the vibrant UNK experience. It’s 24 hours to raise critical funding for scholarships, UNK’s three colleges, various programs, student organizations, Loper Athletics and other great causes.

“So many areas of UNK were impacted by the 1,500 gifts made during last year’s inaugural One Day for UNK,” Chancellor Doug Kristensen said. “This demonstration of Loper support was especially meaningful to our students and their campus organizations, and we look forward to seeing what’s in store for this year’s giving day.”

Here’s how to be a part of One Day for UNK:

GIVE BOLDLY. Starting now, visit givingday.unk.edu to learn more and to make your gift. Together, you can help reach the goal of 1,905 gifts made to honor the founding year of UNK. If you make one or more gifts totaling $60 or more before noon on Oct. 7, you’ll receive a BLUE, GOLD and BOLD scarf.

SPREAD THE WORD. Encourage others to give using #OneDayforUNK and share the information with your family and friends.

BECOME A ONE DAY FOR UNK CHALLENGE SPONSOR. Sponsoring a challenge will help motivate others to give. Contact Teresa Brown for information.
