UNO NCITE Excellence Fund

University of Nebraska at Omaha

The mission of the National Counterterrorism Innovation, Technology, and Education Center (NCITE) is to build a safer world by generating new knowledge, creating innovative tools, and preparing today’s college students for future careers in national security.

What Your Donation Helps Fund

1. Scholar-in-residence program. NCITE is working to establish a scholar-in-residence program to host thought leaders in national security from government, industry, and academia at our headquarters in Omaha. These visiting experts will collaborate on research, offer lectures and public events, and otherwise innovate for national security. This program will infuse new ideas into NCITE’s research streams and assist participating industries and government agencies while drawing the nation’s top minds to Omaha.

2. Protect US program. Counterterrorism research and analysis often involve working with difficult, traumatic material. Our research has shown that those doing this important work may need additional support. Help us develop a unique resilience training program to keep our counterterrorism workforce safe and healthy.

3. Endowment. NCITE runs solely on federal funding, including a 10-year seed grant that ends in 2030. We want to create an endowment for long-term sustainability to keep the center operational after the grant ends.

4. General support. Contributing to our general fund will help us direct your gift to support professional development opportunities for students and staff and grow community engagement between NCITE and local stakeholders.

NCITE Gift Policy

NCITE accepts gifts through the University of Nebraska Foundation and abides by its gift acceptance policy, with the following addition: NCITE cannot accept donations from outside the U.S. Any donations from persons or groups outside the U.S. will be returned.
