Support The college of education and human sciences

On June 6, 2003, the University of Nebraska Board of Regents approved the joining of two important colleges: the College of Human Resources and Family Sciences and Teachers College. The new entity is now the College of Education and Human Sciences. The college is comprised of seven departments: teaching, learning and teacher education; educational administration; educational psychology; child, youth and family studies; nutrition and health sciences; special education and communication disorders; and textiles, merchandising and fashion design.

The strength of the college comes from providing a structure for connecting different perspectives in new ways, leading to novel approaches and innovative links aimed at helping people build better lives at home, at school, in the workplace and in the community. The result of this union yields teaching, research and outreach programs that look different than they would if the two units remained independent.
