Stock Giving

To make a gift of stock follow this simple process:

• Complete the Stock Gift Notification Form below. This will notify the foundation that a stock gift will be transferred and will provide important details about the gift that will help the foundation process the gift efficiently and ensure the gift is directed as you intended.
• After the Stock Gift Notification Form is submitted, you will receive an email that includes a copy of the information you entered and contact information for the foundation’s brokerage account so you can initiate the transfer with your broker.
• Contact your broker and request that they initiate your gift transfer via the Depository Trust Company (DTC) system, and the shares will be delivered electronically to the University of Nebraska Foundation brokerage account.
• The foundation’s broker will notify the foundation that your gift of securities has been received.
• Your gift is considered complete on the date the stock is received in the University of Nebraska Foundation brokerage account and is valued based on the average of the high and the low of that day. Once the gift has been fully processed, you will receive a receipt from the foundation.
