Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI)

OLLI at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln welcomes gifts from members as well as private donors who wish to financially support the Institute. Donations are needed because:

• Membership and registration fees cover on 51% of our budgeted expenses. The balance comes from the endowment fund interest, grants, gifts, and interest from other funds.
• OLLI strives to expand and improve its existing programs without increasing membership and course fees.
• As OLLI continues to grow, we face additional expenses such as non-campus rentals, expanded programming and additional staffing.
• Additional funding will give OLLI the flexibility to be more innovative in our planning for the future.
• Donations give OLLI the financial freedom to be more responsive to membership, instructors and community needs.

The Bernard Osher Foundation has provided monetary grants and a substantial endowment to create a strong foundation upon which OLLI at UNL can continue to build. At the same time, the Osher Foundation urges every Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) to raise additional funds for long-term sustainability by launching its own resource development campaigns in order to remain affordable and sustainable for future generations.

Memorial Gifts:

You can honor or remember a friend, colleague, or loved one when you make a gift to OLLI at UNL. The correct way to designate a memorial gift to support OLLI is: to the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Development Fund at the University of Nebraska Foundation, a Nebraska nonprofit corporation.
