Wear Black, Give Back: UNO Giving Day returns Oct. 12-13

Save the date for the annual Wear Black, Give Back: UNO Giving Day from noon to noon on Oct. 12-13, 2022.

The event brings together Mavericks from across the nation in support of University of Nebraska at Omaha students striving to achieve their goals and dreams.

You can Wear Black and Give Back to help the campus reach its goal this year of 2,500 gifts of $5 or more during the 24-hour period when gifts are made at givingday.unomaha.edu.

Participants are encouraged to wear their UNO apparel with pride and share why they give back on social media using #WearBlackGiveBack.

Those who make a gift of $60 or more to any area on campus by noon on Oct. 13, 2022, will receive UNO gloves.

“As our Maverick fans know, the support of a passionate crowd can help get us to victory,” UNO Chancellor Joanne Li said. “If we all pitch in together, with your help we can raise money for scholarships, colleges, programs, students group activities, and so much more. Today is about Mavericks helping Mavericks. Every day, but especially today, wear black and give back.”
