Support the Art History Program

Art History is an interdisciplinary field that studies the most significant artists and artworks in human history and emphasizes the role of visual culture from the past to the present. Our curriculum, which is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), is designed to prepare students for real-world success as artists, designers, art historians, art teachers and museum and gallery professionals. Each area teaches required foundational skills and techniques while informing students of current trends in their respective field. Through the formal and contextual analysis of art and its interdisciplinary connections, our students obtain the critical thinking, research and writing skills that form the basis of all professional careers.
