Support the Department of Art & Art History
Our curriculum, which is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), is designed to prepare students for real-world success as artists, designers, art historians, art teachers and museum and gallery professionals. Each area teaches required foundational skills and techniques while informing students of current trends in their respective field. Through the formal and contextual analysis of art and its interdisciplinary connections, our students obtain the critical thinking, research and writing skills that form the basis of all professional careers. Our programs are focused on helping students master not only the art disciplines, but also their critical and analytical thinking, visual literacy and creative expression. Art & Art History offers an educational and collaborative experience with established and emerging artists within the School of the Arts.
