Support the Department of Psychology

The Department of Psychology consists of 26 faculty serving approximately 800 undergraduate majors/double majors, 250 minors, and 100 graduate students at UNL. The Department also provides much teaching to non-majors throughout the university. Psychology is a uniquely integrative science spanning the natural sciences, social sciences, health and biomedical sciences, information sciences, business, law and social policy, and into the humanity disciplines of philosophy and religion.

Psychology is the largest undergraduate major in the College and second largest in the University. The Department has one of the largest and premiere graduate programs at UNL and focuses on six areas of psychology: Clinical, Cognitive and Quantitative, Developmental, Law-Psychology, Neuroscience and Behavior, and Social-Personality. Additionally, the psychology department offers an interdisciplinary program at the graduate level focusing on Psychology and Law.  Private support is critical in funding the ambitious research and teaching agenda of the department.

Joanna has been with the foundation since 2005. She has a bachelor's degree of journalism in advertising from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She is routinely surrounded by extremely intelligent, kind and generous people who have achieved great success in their lives. She finds these interactions to be a wonderful way to spend her days.

Courtney graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources with degrees in agronomy and agricultural education. After working in agricultural sales, she joined the University of Nebraska Foundation team in 2019 where her fundraising efforts are focused on UNL’s College of Arts and Sciences.
