Support the Department of Philosophy

The Department of Philosophy is strongly committed to developing intellectual skills that will serve students as they move on into a variety of fields. The department currently has 12 faculty members, 25 graduate students, and dozens of undergraduate majors. The research and teaching interests of the faculty are broad and span all major subject areas of analytical philosophy. We have internationally recognized research strength in epistemology and ethics.

The Philosophy Department works hard to provide excellent educational experiences for our students even beyond traditional classes. It brings to campus annually a number of prominent speakers to discuss particular philosophical topics with students, faculty, and the campus at large. The department also hosts annual conferences on important topics that bring a number of philosophers to UNL for concentrated discussion. Graduate students also host their own weekly graduate student colloquium. Many of these activities would simply not be possible without the support of alumni and friends of the department. We greatly appreciate your support.

Victor has been with the foundation since 2013. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He enjoys meeting alumni who have had tremendous experiences at the university. He loves the fact that no matter where he meets alumni – in Lincoln, Omaha or any city on the east coast everyone is still a Cornhusker. They still have that Nebraska niceness.
