The University of Nebraska at Kearney’s College of Education has a rich tradition that began in 1905, when UNK was established first as the Nebraska State Normal School at Kearney.

The vision for UNK’s College of Education is to be nationally recognized for exemplary academic programs, highly qualified faculty and staff and outstanding graduates. The college aspires to build on its reputation to achieve extraordinary results in the areas of learning, research, technology, outreach, diversity and quality of life enrichment.
