UNK and UNMC have teamed up to construct the Rural Health Education Building, which will not only increase capacity to enroll more health care students but will also significantly expand nursing programs and bring the UNMC College of Medicine to Kearney.

Fishermen with a vision find purpose through UNL’s Engler program

University of Nebraska–Lincoln graduates Hunter Suchsland and Cade Ludwig found a way to monetize their passion for fishing through the Engler Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Program. The duo started their fishing lure business with seed money and advice from the UNL program. “We’ve quadrupled sales and customers from year one to year two,” Suchsland said.

$20 million gift creates scholarships for UNMC pharmacy students

Because of an extraordinary investment by Joe and Millie Williams, UNMC College of Pharmacy students will receive scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 beginning next fall. “We want to give at least some dollars to just about every student that applies,” says College of Pharmacy Dean Keith Olsen, Pharm.D.
