Support the Department of Biochemistry

The Department of Biochemistry at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, in the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources, is dedicated to maintaining a reputation as an outstanding department on the basis of the rigorous curriculum, the quality of research conducted, and the caliber of its graduates. The academic programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in the department provide students with the foundation in biochemistry necessary for their pursuit of careers in industry, research, education, engineering, health professions or other interdisciplinary fields. The research programs in biochemistry investigate an array of important questions united in focus by exploring the functions of macromolecules in fundamental biological processes, enhance the quality of education, and contribute to the development of new scientists and researchers.

Craig grew up in South Central Nebraska on a diversified farm and livestock operation. Craig graduated from the University of Nebraska with an Animal Science degree and worked at Senek Swine Testing Station, the Meat Animal Research Center before operating his own diversified farming operation near Deweese for over 30 years.

Doug is a graduate of University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s College of Journalism and Mass Communications. He joined the University of Nebraska Foundation in 2017 and has extensive experience in video production, advertising, sales and marketing, primarily in the field of agribusiness. Doug’s fundraising efforts are focused on the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Josh has been with the foundation since 2008. He has a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Josh's experience at UNL was very positive and working at the foundations allows him to help make that same experience available to other students. It also allows him to give back to his alma mater.
