Support the Department of Biological Sciences

In recent years the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln has seen major growth in number of biology students. With approximately 700 undergraduate biology majors, 90 graduate students, and 25 postdoctoral students, the 44 department faculty members keep busy teaching and researching. Major areas of research include ecology, evolution, behavior, systematics & biological diversity, cell & molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, parasitology, plant molecular biology & pathology, and virology. One reason for the recent growth in the School of Biological Sciences is the school's creative approach to instructional programs.
