Support the Department of Political Science
The Political Science Department seeks to promote civic education and to provide students with research and analytical tools to understand and participate in the political world. A Political Science degree prepares students for a career in: government, law, journalism, social-science teaching, community service, public affairs, international business, academia, and more. Political Science research explains and evaluates: the workings of governments and other political actors, the formulation and effects of public policies, the interactions among states and their citizens, and the development and practice of political ideals and values. The Political Science faculty is committed to integrating teaching and research -- in the classroom and by involving undergraduate students in research on independent projects or as assistants to faculty scholarship.
