Jim Young Pancreatic Cancer Research Memorial Fund

Jim Young Pancreatic Cancer Research Memorial Fund

Funds raised through the Jim Young Pancreatic Cancer Research Memorial Fund will be directed to support innovative clinical and translational pancreatic cancer research at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and The Nebraska Medical Center hospital. Pancreatic Oncology specialist,  Jean Grem, M.D., Ph. D., leads a team of multidisciplinary oncology experts and research scientists that collectively help treat each person's pancreatic cancer in an individualized way.  Support of this fund will propel findings through Dr. Grem's collaboration with nationally recognized pancreatic cancer scientists, Tony Hollingsworth, Ph. D., and Surinder Batra, Ph. D., that will lead to more accurate means of diagnosis and more effective therapies that will extend and one day save the lives of those faced with pancreatic cancer.

As the region's only National Cancer Institute designated cancer center, our expertise helps provide life-saving therapies to thousands of cancer survivors who've come to UNMC from across the country.  Through your support and participation, the future of cancer research and care at the new Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center will help lead us to new advancements in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancer.
