Sena “Mom” Lang Memorial Scholarship Fund

Sena “Mom” Lang Memorial Scholarship Fund

Sixty years ago Mom Lang began her first full year as housemother for Men’s Hall.  Little did she know at the time how during the next sixteen years she would so positively affect the lives of hundreds of young men and young women during their formative college years at Kearney.

After Mom’s death in 1992, a group of Men’s Hall residents worked together to establish the Sena “Mom Lang Memorial Scholarship Fund.   This fund is now approaching its 20th year of awarding annual scholarships to residence hall advisors at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
