Our Students, Our Future - UNK

Our Students, Our Future - UNK

Our Students, Our Future will help make a University of Nebraska education more accessible to Nebraska’s greatest resource — its students. Through this initiative, the University of Nebraska will continue to transform education, producing a more qualified and ready workforce that forms our next generation of leaders.

More than many other universities, UNK serves populations for whom college seems out of reach. More than 40 percent of UNK’s students are first-generation college students and only 7.5 percent have their financial need fully met. Direct student support is critical to ensure UNK is an option for any qualified student. Your generous gifts to the Loper Advantage Scholarship Fund, Honors Program and other programs will help attract more talented students to UNK.

In addition, UNK has partnered with UNMC to expand opportunities for pre-medical and health science majors pursuing careers in allied health professions, including physician assistant, radiography, lab technology, medical nutrition, physical therapy and sonography. Supporting student success at UNK now helps ensure that Nebraskans have access to skilled health care providers and a strong economy far into the future.

UNK consistently ranks among the nation’s top regional universities, reflecting its emphasis on quality academics, hands-on learning, affordability and a community that cares. Your support will help UNK make a difference, providing students with opportunities to make a lasting impact on our world and our future.
