Transdisciplinary Research for Creative Solutions to Poverty and Inequality Fund

Transdisciplinary Research for Creative Solutions to Poverty and Inequality Fund

The Transdisciplinary Research for Creative Solutions to Poverty and Inequality fund supports innovative research and outreach efforts to understand and alleviate the effects of poverty and inequality on health, wellbeing, and livelihoods. Your donation will help University of Nebraska faculty and students develop and test creative solutions to inequality and poverty, conduct studies to understand the causes and implications of poverty and inequality, and provide the University of Nebraska, broader Lincoln, national and international communities with opportunities to engage in conversations and access unique perspectives on inequality and poverty through seminars, interdisciplinary conversations, and other media. Examples of activities supported by this fund include a project that helps girls in marginalized livestock-keeping societies in East Africa go to school and tracks the long-term effects of education in their lives, and research on the effects of poverty-related stress on the healthfulness of food choice in at-risk communities within the US.
