Joey is originally from Omaha and obtained his bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Joey was a four-year member of the Husker Football program. During his student-athlete experience, he received many awards including the Tom Osborne and Brook Berringer Citizenship Award, Admiral U.S. Grant Sharp Trophy for unselfish commitment, motivation and teamwork, and the Hero Leadership Award for demonstrated excellence in community service and leadership.

An Omaha native, Justin earned a juris doctor from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Law and a master’s degree from UNL’s College of Journalism and Mass Communications. He believes that college should be accessible to everyone, particularly students who are first in their family to attend college, and is passionate about the power of education. Justin joined the foundation in 2016.
