A vital component of the university's mission is to provide a strong, even vanguard academic environment in which our students and faculty can intellectually thrive. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Libraries is the place where knowledge resources and collaborative education comes together, and your charitable support makes it happen.
The UNL Libraries system is the only comprehensive research library in Nebraska. Its mission is to play an active role in facilitating the connection between students and faculty and the scholarly record. UNL Libraries provides services and tools to enable discovery of information and engages with its users to create a community that values active learning and the research process. Further, the Libraries are stewards of scholarly content and create, organize, and publish scholarly work of the University.
The UNL Libraries include Love Library and six other libraries across campus, serving a wide array of academic pursuits: architecture, engineering, geology, math, music, and the C.Y. Thompson Library on east campus. The UNL Libraries serves the entire university community, visiting scholars and countless other students and researchers across the state and region by seamlessly blending traditional services with today's digital library innovations.
A gift to this primary development fund provides important resources for the entire UNL Libraries system.
Your support of this fund will help us realize a $500,000 challenge grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. All monies raised will be used to create a permanent endowment that will provide support for faculty research, graduate students and the Nebraska Digital Workshop.
This expendable fund provides support for the UNL Libraries to expand its print and electronic collections.
Currently there are no other funds available for this area.
