Vice President of Development, Campus Director of Development for UNL
We are currently seeking a Vice President, Campus Director of Development for our University of Nebraska Lincoln campus. The candidate will foster a relationship with the Chancellor / Deans and other campus partners to plan and implement development strategies in support of the Chancellor’s and University President’s visions and priorities. The candidate will maintain an active donor portfolio, working closely with the Chancellor on leadership gift opportunities and priorities for the campus, connecting major and principal gift donors to their passion at the University of Nebraska. The candidate will lead a large team of Directors of Development, and engage the University’s academic, administrative, and Alumni Association staff to coordinate donor engagement efforts with campus affiliates.
A demonstrated track record as a successful builder of relationships and maintainer of personal and professional networks is required. A Bachelor’s degree is required, graduate degree preferred, along with 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in major gifts fundraising positions, including significant leadership roles preferably in higher education. Proven track record of cultivating and closing major and leadership / principal gifts with special emphasis working as part of or leading teams in 6, 7, and 8-figure gift negotiations. Strong preference for candidates with experience fundraising for specific colleges / units, working closely with a Chancellor / Dean and Department chairs.

Donor Relations Intern (Lincoln Office)
The University of Nebraska Foundation seeks an organized, self-motivated, undergraduate student with a high level of professionalism to assist with endowed fund stewardship. Duties include researching funds and sharing recipient communication with donors. Other duties include assisting with project research, specialized donor stewardship activities, donor greetings, and special events. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail required. This paid position offers a flexible schedule of between 15-20 hours per week, professional experience and a convenient work location. Position closes 5/24/13. Design Intern (Lincoln)
The University of Nebraska Foundation is currently looking for a creative art, advertising, or journalism student with demonstrated graphic design ability to join our organization as a design intern. This position involves “hands-on” design and production of printed materials such as invitations, programs, brochures and magazines, resulting in great work for student portfolios. The design intern may also support the foundation’s interactive marketing department by editing and optimizing images for online use and designing and placing graphical elements for online use. This paid position offers a flexible schedule and 10-15 hours per week and a convenient work location. The ideal applicant should be detail-oriented, have excellent design and communication skills, a great imagination, & some knowledge of the University of Nebraska. Proficiency in desktop publishing (Adobe InDesign and PhotoShop CS) required. Adobe Illustrator CS a plus. Experience with HTML and basic CSS, Dreamweaver also a plus.
