College of Education
The UNK College of Education has a rich tradition that began in 1905 when UNK was established first as the Nebraska State Normal School at Kearney. Today the College of Education continues that rich tradition with a vision for a bright future that we hope includes you. The College of Education consists of five outstanding academic departments and are staffed with the finest faculty members in the country. The college currently enrolls 1,200 students. The curriculum in the college is designed to be student-centered and intellectually challenging, while preparing
students through a variety of field and internship experiences that offer “real life” educational opportunities that are often the highlight of the students’ academic careers.
