More than 90% of dental students need some form of financial aid, and the average graduating dental student’s loan debt is now in the range of $135,000-$150,000. We must increase scholarships to ensure the future work force in oral health professions.
This endowed scholarship was established in 2010 by members of the Dental Class of 1970 in conjunction with their 40th reunion gift to the UNMC College of Dentistry and to honor a longtime, respected dental faculty member, Dr. Ray H. Steinacher, who passed away in September, 2009.
This is an endowed scholarship for the D.D.S. program, for alumni across the generations to support financial aid to deserving dental students
